Wire haired Vizsla
The breed was developed in the 1930s in Hungary to produce a dog that combined the color of the Vizsla with a heavier coat and more substantial frame for the colder weather and terrain. The Wire haired Vizsla is considered a great hunting dog but their even temper make them also suitable as a family pet. The large and robust breed stands 21 to 25 inches tall and weighs 40 to 65 pounds. The Wire haired Vizsla have very high energy levels so they require a large amount of exercise. While primarily a hunting dog, the breed is very loving and affectionate towards their family and thrives with attention.
