Average: 4 (46 votes)

The breed descended from German bloodhounds that were used to hunt wolves, deer, and bear. But because of the lack of big game in the particular area, Weimaraner were adapted to hunt birds and be a personal hunting companion. The gray ghosts, as some call it, because of the breed's distinct gray coloring, stands at 23 to 27 inches tall and weighs between 50 and 70 pounds. The Weimaraner loves being around children and the family.
