Tibetan Terrier
The breed is not a true Terrier, only Terrier in size. The Tibetan Terrier was bred and raised in Tibet by Iamas, or Buddhist monks, almost 2000 years ago. Known best as the holy dogs of Tibet, the Iamas used them as mascots, good luck charms, companions and most useful watchdogs. The Tibetan Terrier was built especially to withstand the harsh climates of Tibet, while they weigh between 18 and 30 pounds and stand 14 to 17 inches tall. The breed loves its family and is sensitive to its owners moods.
