Thai Ridgeback
The breed has been found in eastern Thailand since the middle ages, where the Thai Ridgeback was prized as a guard dog. The breed is relatively popular in Thailand, but is rare outside of the country. The loose skinned muscular breed weighs 51 to 75 pounds and stands 20 to 24 pounds. The Thai Ridgeback is a great herding, guarding, and watchdog, but also makes a nice companion. The breed needs a dominant owner to make the breed suitable for families and children, also plenty of exercise is needed to keep the dog happy.
