Stabyhoun

The particular breed of dog can be seen as early as the 1800s in the northern Netherlands where it was used as a gun dog for small game and bird. The Stabyhoun is simply yet sturdily built, they stand 19 to 21 inches tall and weigh 40 to 55 pounds. The breed is very good for a family, they are highly intelligent making them easy to train, extremely friendly with other family pets and children, and are eager to please. A medium to large sized yard is best for the Stabyhoun as well as a fair amount of exercise.
