Sporting Lucas Terrier
In the 1990s the breed was developed in Scotland by interbreeding the Lucas Terrier, the Jack Russell Terrier, and various Fell Terriers to create a better working terrier. Though relatively new, the breed is increasingly making a name for its self, the Sporting Lucas Terrier is not only great as a working breed but also makes a great companion. The small breed weighs 11 to 18 pounds and stands 10 to 13 inches tall. The Sporting Lucas Terrier is active and friendly but also independently minded, therefore sometimes the breed may become difficult.

Why, oh why did you get a pup at a pet store? By doing that, you are supporting puppy mills and baaykcrd breeders. 9 weeks old is too young for a small breed, such as a Westie, to be released to it's new home. These small breeds need to stay with their Mom and littermates until they are 12 weeks old.
