Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier
Known as the poor man's dog in Ireland, more than 400 years ago. Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers were used as an all-purpose farm dog for the commoners. As its name implies, the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is known for its soft, silky coat along with the wheaten color. The square, medium-sized dog stands at 17 to 19 inches tall and weighs between 30 and 40 pounds. This breed adapts well to any way of life and readily enjoys children.
