Shetland Sheepdog
Known essentially as a miniature Collie, the Shetland Sheepdog originated in the Shetland Islands, where it was used as farm help and home protector. The Sheltie, as many call this breed, is one of the most successful obedience breeds to date. The docile dog stands at 13 to 16 pounds and weighs between 14 and 27 pounds. The Shetland Sheepdog thrives on a farm, but can adapt to other living styles, provided regular exercise.
