The breed was derived in Sealy Ham, Haverfordwest, Wales, which is the estate of Captain John Edwards who created the breed to hunt fox, badger, and otter. The compact Sealyham Terrier stands at an average of 10 inches and weighs approximately 24 pounds. This breed loves their family, but needs things to occupy their mind so that they do not become destructive.
