Scottish Deerhound
The breed was clearly identified in the 16th and 17th century in Scotland, where they could not be owned by anyone of rank lower than earl. Known as one of the oldest breeds, Scottish Deerhounds are impeccable hunters. This larger Greyhound stands at 28 to 32 inches tall and weighs 75 to 110 pounds. This breed requires much exercise either on a leash or in a fenced in yard.
