Schapendoes
The breed descended from a general type of herding and farm dog that existed in the Netherlands, where they adapted to the people, work, and environments they lived in. The medium sized Schapendoes weighs 26 to 55 pounds and stand at an average of 20 inches. The breed is described as high spirited, friendly, and affectionate, which makes them a poor choice for a guard dog. The breed does best with their family and a fairly large amount of exercise.
