Rampur Greyhound
His Royal Highness Ahmed Ali Khan Bahadur first developed the Rampur Greyhound by cross breeding the ferocious Tazi with a even tempered greyhound. Today the breed is almost near extinction due to fallen popularity, but as recently popularity has began to grow the number of Rampur Greyhounds has increased again. The large sight hound weighs 60 to 65 pounds and stands 22 to 30 inches tall. The Rampur Greyhound craves human companionship and is so affectionate it is almost a fault. The breed is not suited for apartment living, but is happiest with a large yard to run around in and a large amount of daily exercise.
