Pungsan Dog

Not much is known about the breed but it is believed that they have existed as far back as the Yi dynasty where they first existed in the mountains of north Korea in P'ungsan county, though the exact dates are unknown. Many disasters threatened the breed, but Korean governments have concentrated on saving the rare breed, while now a few thousand Pungsan Dogs thrive as military dogs in Korea. The standard sizes of the breed has never been set.
