Prague Ratter

Average: 4 (3 votes)

Early on the breed was seldomly seen outside of Czech Republic and Slovakia, the Prague Ratter was selectively bred as a companion dog. The breed was first primarily for the wealthy and royal, today many normal citizens own the breed as well as countries outside of Czech and Slovakia. The miniature breed is active and lively, they stand 7 to 9 inches tall and weigh 2 to 6 pounds. The small size and briskness of the Prague Ratter made the breed specifically good at catching rats. The dogs are good for apartment life and although small a fair amount of exercise is needed. The Prague Ratter hates cold and surprisingly will tolerate and even appreciate a nice sweater during a cool day.
