Old English Terrier
The breed first appeared during the 1700s as different types of dog, the rough coated black terrier and the smooth coated black terrier, where the dog was bred and specialized for the work that was needed. This terrier type breed weighs 14 to 35 pounds and stands 12 to 18 inches tall. The Old English Terrier is a working and sporting breed, so a large amount of exercise is need to keep the dog happy. And if they are kept happy and healthy they make phenomenal family companions.
