Northern Inuit Dog

Average: 3 (1 vote)

During the late 1980s, many heritage (not purebred) dogs were cross bred with the Siberan Husky, German Shepherd, and the Alaskan Malamute to create a dog that resembled a wolf but had domestic dog qualities. The wolf-like Northern Inuit Dog stands 22 to 25 inches tall and weighs 65 to 75 pounds. The breed is known for their gentle nature, but do remember that wolf is in the dog's blood so they should always be supervised around children.
