Northeasterly Hauling Laika
The breed developed in Russia as a common and reliable sleigh dog that was used exclusively for pulling sleds professionally, for example mail, medicine, or skijoring. The very furry Northeasterly Hauling Laika weigh 75 to 110 pounds and stand 23 to 27 inches tall. The thick coat of the breed is weather resistant making the dog an ice-proof furnace, often enabling the breed to protect and possibly save their owners during blizzards and other storms.
