Norrbottenspets
The breed originated in both Norrbotten, Sweden and Lappland/Kainuuland, Finland where were used primarily as hunting companions. The Spitz-type Norrbottenspets breed weighs 18 to 33 pounds and stands 16 to 18 inches tall. Though originally used as a farm and hunting dog, the breed has recently become more popular as a house pet. The Norrbottenspets is one of the top ten breeds noted for their gentleness with children.
