Newfoundland
The breed originated in Newfoundland, but their ancestors were brought over by European fisherman. The Newfoundland breed is known as a workhorse, standing at 26 to 28 inches tall and weighing between 100 to 150 pounds. The sweet disposition of this breed makes them very suitable for families.
