Munsterlander
During the 18th century, the interest of bird hunting in Germany caused the breed to be developed from a smaller long-haired pointer. The Munsterlander is very family friendly and enjoys children, the large sized Munsterlander stands 23 to 26 inches tall and weighs 50 to 70 pounds; the small Munsterlander stands 19 to 22 inches tall and weighs 35 to 45 pounds. The breed is not recommended for apartment living, because they need a sufficient amount of exercise and like to run around in a big yard.
