Mountain Cur
The breed was first brought to America from Europe by settlers of the mountains of Kentucky, Virginia, and Tennessee where they were valuable for guarding the family and property, as well as hunting and treeing game. The active Mountain Cur is not easy going. They often stand at 18 to 26 inches tall and weighing 30 to 60 pounds. The breed is not suitable for apartment life but is happiest when doing some type of a job.
