Magyar Agar

It is said that the breed came with the Magyars to the Carpathian Basin and Transylvania in the 900s. They are used primarily for long distance racing and they can travel up to 31 miles per day. The elegant yet rugged Magyar Agar stands 25 to 27 inches and weighs 49 to 68 pounds. The breed is affectionate and docile, doing very good with children and other animals. Though Magyar Agar spend a substantial amount of time sleeping, they require a fair amount of exercise.
