Indian Spitz
The Indian Spitz was first introduced by the British to India, where years of breeding produced a well-suited dog for the plains of India. Here the breed developed a thinner coat and smaller size suitable for the conditions. The small spitz-type breed is divided into two categories, smaller and greater Indian Spitz; the smaller weighing 11 to 15 pounds and standing 8 to 11 inches tall while the greater stand 15 to 18 inches tall and weigh 28 to 45 pounds. The breed is easy and adaptable to any living situation, today they dominate as one of the most economical yet pleasant pets.
