Hortaya Borzaya
This breed is an Asian dog breed that developed over centuries in the steppes north of the Black Sea. The Hortaya Borzaya is a valued companion as a mostly isolated breed from the steppes where they are most prized as a sight hound that puts food on the table for Central Asian hunters. The large sight hound weighs 40 to 75 pounds and stands 24 to 30 inches tall. The Hortaya Borzaya is excellent for families and hunters, but careful feeding is necessary for the breed because high protein diets and over feeding can be harmful to their health.
