Himalayan Sheepdog
The rare breed is of Nepali origin where they were used as herding dogs, very similar to the Newfoundland Dog and the Tibetan Mastiff. The large Himalayan Sheepdog is often compared to a mountain bear standing at 26 to 33 inches tall and weighing 60 to 85 pounds. The primarily white breed is used as a house pet, but does best when outside with the flocks. The Himalayan Sheepdog is rarely seen outside of the Himalayas but are a popular breed within the Himalayan area.
