Hellenikos Poimenikos

The breed has been helping Greek herders tend to their sheep for hundreds of years. The large Hellenikos Poimenikos weighs 80 to 110 pounds and stands 25 to 29 inches tall. The big, robust breed is very domineering, their strong will and stubbornness make the breed most ideal for an experienced dog owner. The Hellenikos Poimenikos is not a family dog, they need to be working, and the breed will work on their own whereas they have a very hard time listening but will usually listen to a strong and dominant master.
