Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen
The breed originated in the Vendee region of France where they are still used today to hunt boar and deer, track rabbit and hare but most commonly are kept as house pets. The small hunting breed stands 13 to 15 inches tall and weighs 31 to 40 pounds. The Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen is very happy and confident, making it a great family companion. Do remember, the breed is a pack dog so a second dog or cat is a great asset for the breed.
