Glen of Imaal Terrier
The direct origin of the Glen of Imaal Terrier is unknown but Irish descent runs through their blood. The versatile breed was used for hunting small game and were known most for walking on a so-called treadmill for hours in markets turning an oven cooking chickens. The devoted little dog stands at an average of 14 inches and weighs 34 to 36 pounds. The Glen of Imaal Terrier is slow to mature next to other breeds but does well with children and families when properly trained.
