French Spaniel
The breed is a very distant descendant of a dog from the middle ages, where in the 1600s the French Spaniel became popular among bird hunters but numbers dwindled due to the new popularity of the French Brittany breed. The rare breed weighs 44 to 55 pounds and stands 21 to 24 inches tall. The French Spaniel does best with a large amount of exercise, with acreage, and being around its family.
