Most famous for being the pets of celebrities. Chihuahuas do not have a definite origin, but were named for the Mexican state of Chihuahua where they were first located. The small, yet sassy dogs weigh between 2 and 6 pounds and stand at 6 to 9 inches. The purse dog is a good accessory or family pet.
