Cane Corso
The breed is recently recovered from extinction, but the origins are still unknown. However, the abilities of the dog are apparent for stock control, guardian, and hunting. The large black or fawn coated breed weighs 88 to 110 pounds and stands 23 to 27 inches tall. The Cane Corso is typically good with children and adults, but needs to be trained to be around small children, other animals, and both sexes to feel comfortable around all.
