Broholmer
The breed developed in the Middle Ages from Denmark where they were used for stag-hunting and later for guarding large homes and manors. The large, mastiff type Broholmer stands at 22 to 30 pounds and weigh 87 to 176 pounds. The breed needs daily exercise but careful considerations need to be taken when a Broholmer is a puppy. The faults of the breed are seasonal heavy shedding and short life span of 6 to 11 years.
