Braque Francais
The original breed can be traced back to the 15th century in south France where later cross-breeding developed two varieties of Braque Francais. While both types are popular hunting breeds for the French, the breed is seldom seen elsewhere. The medium to large sized breed stands at 22 to 27 inches and weighs 39 to 53 pounds. The breed is good with people and other animals if it is well socialized but the Braque Francais is a soft breed so harsh training is not suitable.
