Border Terrier
This breed originated between the border of England and Scotland and may be one of the oldest strains of the terrier breed. Border terriers range from 11 to 16 inches tall and also weigh 11 to 16 pounds. Though this dog can be hard as nails while working, the affectionate nature make it a very nice house pet.

Yes, I own one and they are a fantastic breed. Not lazy like most beelvie (they do not calm down from there "puppy stage" until about 2yrs old). Would not have any other breed in my house though.References :
