Berger Picard
The breed is possibly one of the oldest French shepherds, dating back to 800 AD when they were brought over by the Celts. World War 2 almost caused the extinction of Berger Picard and they are still a rare breed today. The medium-sized, gray-ish breed stands at 21 to 26 inches and weighs 50 to 70 pounds. The Berger Picard is a very owner orientated dog, though exercise is needed, the breed would rather curl up next to their family.
