Bergamasco

The breed is ancient, evolving more than 2000 years ago where they were used for sheep herding the the Alpine Arc, bred specifically by shepherds, the Bergamasco bloodline is still a secret among them. The three types of hair on the Bergamasco form mats or flocks that are unique to the breed. The grey hued, medium breed stands at 20 t0 24 inches tall and weighs 55 to 85 pounds. The family oriented breed is happiest in seasonal or cold climates.
