Basque Shepherd Dog

The breed originated in Spain in the 17th century as a cattle/shepherding breed that easily became a warming companion. The Basque Shepherd dog is relatively rare outside of Spain as well. The medium-sized breed weighs 35 to 65 pounds and stand at 18 to 24 inches tall. The Basque Shepherd dogs need exercise and a big place to run, while they get bored fairly easily and may become destructive or stubborn.
