Basenji
A native to Central America, the prowess of the Basenji makes them very suitable for hunting. An ideal dog is between 22 and 23 pounds and stands at 16 to 17 inches tall. Coming in a variety of colors from red or black, Basenji are commonly known as being the barkless dog. When raised as a hunter this dog will typically be very independent, but is still playful and active with any family.
