Ariegeois
The breed originated in 1912 in France and is relatively unknown outside of that region. The Ariegeois are used as pack-hunting scent hounds but are distinguished as friendly and loving companions as well. The breed normally weigh 63 to 70 pounds and stand at 24 to 27 inches tall. Though talented scent hounds, Ariegeois make affectionate home animals as well.
