American Water Spaniel
For being a rare breed, the dog has a wide base of fans, being the state dog of Wisconsin. Originating in the Great Lakes region in the 1800s, where they were known as the first hunting dogs that could retrieve from boats. They weigh between 25 and 45 pounds and stand at 15 to 18 inches tall at the shoulders. American Water Spaniels are incredibly intelligent and eager to please their masters. The friendliness and sportiness of the dog makes it a great asset to any active life.

i want a small lap dog this looks like a good dog to have
I like both cats and dogs but I love cats. I've seen them get along. But I think there is some tension beweten them if they haven't been trained to accept one another. Of course, even a cat or a dog can make choices. Thanks for the beautiful pictures.
