Alaskan Shepherd
The Alaskan Shepherd is a hybrid breed that was developed from the cross breeding of an Alaskan Malamute with a German Shepherd. Though sometimes the name can be misleading, the breed is not always of 50/50 bloodlines due to the breeding through generations. The average Alaskan Shepherd weighs 64 to 125 pounds and stands 21 to 28 inches tall. The large, athletic breed does well with families, but should be supervised around children because of their large size.
